Lookout Mountain Photography Club Written by Carol Beddingfield 1/13/2010
The best way to share memories is through photos. My photos are not the best.I am never sure if the color or other
elements will be correct when printed.
The Mentone Area Arts Council has created a new club, the
Lookout Mountain Photography Club, which will help even a beginner like me.
An organizational meeting of the club will be held on
Friday, January 15, 2010 at 6:30 PM at the Mentone Inn.
The purpose of the club will be to bring people together who
have an interest in photography while promoting fellowship, fun, education and
knowledge of photography.
I congratulate Neal Whitt and John Dersham for their efforts
to provide this opportunity for the public.
A part of the by laws even listed a goal to be a good
neighbor to the community.The sharing
of the skills of these two individuals will be a remarkable asset for our area.
I was able to recall old memories with my brother and
sister’s family through pictures during the holidays.A lost roll of black and white film fifty
years old was developed by a local professional.
A forgotten birthday party with many of my deceased
relatives brought back priceless memories.
I think the true purpose of the club will be not only to
share fellowship but also to preserve memories for a lifetime.
