Christmas Dinner Written by Carol Beddingfield 12/16/2009
Most men refuse to wear anything pink much less to dress in
women’s clothes. So what would make men
put on dresses and compete with other men for the title ofMiss Community Christmas?
Providing a Christmas meal to over 600 people with lots of
fellowship is the reason they participate.
I have never laughed so much at the “talent” exhibited by
the participants.I believe they could
compete on the next American Idol.
I am so glad that some of the participants had medical
training.Sprained ankles and cracked
ribs can be a result of the attire!
Congratulations to Ronnie Warren, Joel Burt, and their
volunteers for a successful event.All
the organizers thanked Andy Parker for creating the Community Christmas meal.
The Christmas Community Dinner will be held at WilliamsAvenueSchool
on Christmas Day beginning at 11:00 AM.
The decision was made to provide only the dinner. The funds will be used to help families with
emergencies during 2010.Last year over
25 families were provided with food, help with utilities, and medicine.
If you would like to help with the event, call Ronnie at
996-1302 or Joel at 997-4065.
