Chamber Chatter
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank the
Fort Payne Police Department for their involvement in the planning of the
Christmas parade.The parade will be
December 11th at 6:00 PM.
To participate this year, each entry will be required to
complete an application and receive a permit.
The issuance of the permit is to insure the safety of all
the parade participants as well as the citizens of FortPayne.
In order to avoid major traffic congestion, all vehicles in the parade will be
provided color permits and a map to enter the designated areas. No other vehicles will be allowed in the area
surrounding the VFW Fairgrounds.
Vehicles will include all antique cars, business vehicles,
beauty pageant winners, etc.
Floats will be judged on Jaycee Drive (behind WilliamsAvenueSchool).Winners will receive cash prizes.
The parade is an excellent way to showcase your business.
Stop by the Chamber for more information.
The 10th annual Spirit of Christmas will be held
at Northeast Alabama Community College Lyceum on December 4th and 5th
at 7:00 PM.
Christina Wise and her volunteers amaze me with the
production that tells the birth of Christ. My grandchildren still talk about the live donkey, sheep, and camels.
This year a moving tribute to the uniformed services of America will be
included.Tickets are available at the
office of Susan Barron, 638-4418.
