Want to remove a little of the holiday stress? At the Holiday Market for Missions, you can
find that unique gift for that special person on your list or baked goods for
the Thanksgiving gathering.
Marianne Norris, Mission Director of the FirstUnitedMethodistChurch,
has created a shopping opportunity for everyone. She has a huge selection of vendors which
include local merchants for the Holiday Market.
I can’t wait to see the jewelry in Funky/Chunky booth or taste the caramel apples in O Taste and See.Lydia Randolph’s Townscape prints and her new
Alabama
statue Christmas cards will be available.
The hours for the market will be 2-6PM on Friday, November
20th and 9AM – 3PM on Saturday, November 21st in the FamilyLifeCenter of the FirstUnitedMethodistChurch.
Door prizes will be given during the hours of each day.Lunch catered by Tiger Lily can be purchased
on Saturday.
Entertainment will be provided by Fort Payne School of
Performing Arts, Bonita Ilene, and others.
The proceeds from the event will be used to support the SOS
(Serving Our Savior) program.In these
tough economic times, our citizens have been helped through the food pantry as
well as other financial aid.
The Chamber welcomes Marianne and her husband, Robert to FortPayne.Robert serves as the music director of the
church. These newcomers have already made an impact on our community.
When asked why everyone should attend the market, Marianne
was quick to reply.“The SOS program
serves as the hands and feet of Christ. We hope to meet the needs of many through this fund raiser. We will also provide a fun way to start
shopping early in FortPayne.”
