A positive aspect about all the rain that we have had is the fact that our gardens and flowers are beautiful!

The Fort Payne Garden Club will present a tour of 5 area gardens on Saturday, June 6^th from 1-5 PM.  A $5.00 donation will be accepted.

Contact any member of the Fort Payne Garden Club for tickets or call Celestine Darnell at 845-4740.

The tour will be self guided so you may visit the garden on your own schedule during the above hours.  Be sure to wear your walking shoes. 

The tour will be for the gardens only.  The homes will not be open to the public.

According to Mary Summerville, past president of the Fort Payne Garden Club, the funds will be used for civic projects such as the DeKalb Theatre Gardens and the butterfly garden at Wills Valley Elementary.

Mary is the Deep South Region Board of Director for the National Garden Club Inc.  She also serves as the Scholarship Chairman for the association.  More than $30,000.00 was raised last year.

The Industrial Alliance Meeting will be held at RTI in Rainsville Tuesday, June 9^th at 11:00 AM.  Call Pam Clay, Economic Development Office, at 845-7957.
