As 2008 ends, I want to thank everyone who has supported the efforts of the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce. As our logo states, “Together We Can!”
The Chamber has many events planned for 2009. The annual banquet will be on January 29th at the DeKalb Theatre at 6:00 PM. We will honor our community’s key leaders for 2008. Commissioner Ron Sparks will be our keynote speaker.
Get ready to be entertained by our community leaders in the Krazy Kudzu Follies scheduled for March 5, 6, & 7th. I want to encourage everyone who wants to laugh or make someone else happy join us for one of Fort Payne’s favorite events.
The combined talents of Tricia Clinton, Brian Baine, Melba Woods, and Scott Akins promises to create the most hilarious Follies ever.
An organizational meeting will be held January 13th at the Chamber Office at 6:00 PM. You don’t have to sing or act. Just be able to laugh! Call the Chamber at 845-2741 for more information.
The Census Bureau has extended the testing dates at the Chamber. You can take the field worker and the supervisor test on January 5, 12, and 26th at 9:00 AM. These positions are for full time or part time employment lasting for 5 to 10 weeks. Call the Chamber to make an appointment to take the exams.
