Boom Days Heritage Celebration

Get ready to be entertained! Collins Kirby, Events Coordinator, has done it again. I am amazed at the musical line up, the juried art show, the craft creators, and the Gault Avenue vendors for this year’s Boom Days Heritage Celebration on Saturday, September 18^th starting at 10 AM.

Where else can you shop for that special gift while being entertained with live music? A wide variety of booths will feature beautiful jewelry, children’s clothes, stained glass, pottery, Boom Day prints, photography, and so much more.

Frank Roden, fishing guide/owner of Rainbow City Auction and Fly Shop, will be demonstrating fly fishing skills. I took a six week course with Frank. When done correctly, fly fishing looks like art in motion.

Tickets are available at the Chamber office for Leah Seawright, the Dillards, and Anders Osborne. A concert by one of these artists would cost you more than tickets to all three.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and myself, I want to thank Mayor Jordan for letting the Chamber be the host for the annual Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament. The sponsors for the tournament have expressed their appreciation for the Mayor’s efforts to continue to improve Fort Payne.

My favorite thing about the tournament is listening to all the laughter. This event provides time for the companies to network and share ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
