Benny Campbell and Christmas Parade

The holiday season is fast approaching. Businesses are beginning to stock their shelves with holiday decorations. The season can determine many retail companies’ financial success for the year.

The Chamber wants to encourage everyone to shop locally. We are also encouraging the businesses to inform us of upcoming holiday promotions. A calendar of events for Chamber members will be posted on our website.

The Fort Payne Christmas Parade will be held on Friday, December 10^th at 6:00 PM. The parade will begin at 18^th Street, N and continue down Gault Avenue until 3^rd Street, S.

Parade entry forms will be available at the Chamber after November 1^st. Call the Chamber for more parade information. Christmas in the Park will be held prior to the parade at City Park.

You will not want to miss a special event sponsored by the Mentone Area Arts Council and the Big Wills Arts Council. On September 23^rd at the Fort Payne City Auditorium at 2:00 PM, Benny Campbell will demonstrate his extraordinary floral design talents.

Even if you have no desire to learn floral arranging, come and be entertained by Benny’s wicked sense of humor. He is known world wide for his beautiful weddings as well as for his educational programs. Benny has been featured in magazines for his “free-flow with a Southern influence” design.

I know Benny as my favorite cousin! As kids, we learned how to spell sitting at the feet of Uncle Jim with our “blue back speller”. I believe Benny could be lost on a desert and still run into a close friend. He makes me happy every time we talk.
