Childcare Resource Network

As part of the child day care community of Northeast Alabama, Childcare Resource Network has worked for 37 years to improve the lives of children.

The Childcare Resource Network operates four child development centers with sliding fee scales. The center in Fort Payne is located at 651 Wallace Avenue, NE, with the operating hours of 5:30 AM to 5:15 PM.

Carolyn Harrison and Karen Romine insure the safety and well being of each child during their care. The ages of the children are 12 months to 12 years. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided daily.

Each staff person is trained according to state and federal guidelines to provide quality programs and services in partnership with families and communities.

Not only is training provided to staff but also to the families of the children. A resource library is now open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

According to Mary Sibert Davis, Executive Director, “Children have only one childhood and it is the responsibility of each of us to help all children experience the wonders of this world.

It is the goal of CRN to work together to support the success of every child and that we will all work to advocate for healthy happy children who will be ready for public school and their future as productive adults.”

I can speak personally about the true success of the Child Development Center. The staff took a very spoiled 2 year old coach’s son and created the foundation for a successful individual in today’s world. On behalf of my son, John, I want to thank the dedicated past and present staff of a very viable community program.

Appreciation is also extended to a special employee of the Childcare Resource Network, Tricia Shankles. Tricia has served as the President of the Board of Directors and will serve as Board of Director for the term 2011-2014.
