When a loved one or you become ill or in an accident, well being and comfort become your number one concern. Duncan Medical Equipment can help you meet these needs.

DME has been serving the Jackson, DeKalb and Cherokee Counties since 1976. The business is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Med-South, Inc. of Jasper, Alabama, is now the owner of DME. Josh Miller is the manager and marketer.

The inventory of healthcare equipment is too numerous to list. However, the respiratory department is a specialty. A registered respiratory therapist is on staff to assist you in following the doctor’s orders.

Staff will guide you in the selection of home oxygen therapy needs to the choice of mask for your CPap or BiPap machine for sleep apnea.

Without the proper equipment to treat these problems, high blood pressure, weight gain and cardiovascular disease can occur.

If your doctor prescribes a power wheelchair or scooter, a staff person will visit your home to determine which is the most appropriate to fit your needs and environment.

Diabetic monitors and supplies can be purchased at the store or can be shipped to your home with no additional charge.

DME accepts most major insurances. A 24 hour answering service is available for emergencies.

Even with the hectic schedule as manager of DME, Josh Miller still devotes time for community service. The Chamber is very excited to have Josh as a Board of Director for the term 2011-2013. His sense of humor and enthusiastic approach will be an asset.
